Remember what you taught me
When I was just a boy
Loved to spend this time with you
It filled my heart with joy

For I was always special
You made me feel that way
For every moment that we had
They're treasured every day

Way your eyes would twinkle
When I walked in the room
Made my heart just overjoyed
By love I was consumed

The gentle way you showed me
Things I'd want to know
Until today when they ask why
"My Grandpa told me so"

So now that I'm a grown man
With children of my own
I look at them and smile and say
With words I set in stone

Do the best in life you can
You'll make it through you'll see
I'll give to you the special heart
My Grandpa gave to me.
