Starlet Dawn (Burrow) Underwood, born December 25,
1971 with
a genetic diseased called
Osteogenesis Imperfecta "Brittle
Bone Disease."
Starlet never let that disease
take her spirit away. She lived
life
to the fullest. She married and
gave birth to her daughter Mandie
Kayln
Elizabeth on February 28, 1991,
with great risk to her life.

During her life time she
suffered many broken
bones and much pain. She always
had a positive attitude about
life and living. She never let
her disease defeat her.
She spent her life doing things
for others and helping people
in as many ways as she possibly
could. Unfortunately,
it was her attitude in life of
helping people that lead
to that fatal day on June 7,
2001 when she was murdered.

She
had sold a car to someone who
had not been
making the payments on the
vehicle as was arranged.
She spoke to her lawyer about
this and he told her to
get the car back. On his
suggestions she and her brother
Brent
and husband David went to the
work place of this individual
to repossess the car. Starlet,
being kind and considerate
went to tell the individual what
she was doing. She also told her
that she would drive her back
and forth to work each day
until she could start to make
payments on the car purchased.

The individual came out to the
car to get some of her
belongings from
it. Starlet and her brother were
standing behind the car while
her
husband David climbed
into the back seat to get the
individual's son's car seat. At that
time she put the car in reverse
and
angrily ran over Starlet and
her brother Brent.

Brent was able to roll away from
the car and David who was in
the car tried to stop the
individual but she shifted the
car
and drove over Starlet once
again. This final act of
violence
committed by this individual
caused Starlet's death.

At the time of her death she was
in school to get her
degree in Corporate Law. She was
truly a wonderful individual
who cared greatly for others.
She will be missed
terribly by all those whose life
she gave great meaning to.

Sadly the perpetrator of this
crime only received three
years for Starlet's death. She
most likely will be out
on probation soon and continue
her life with her son.

Starlet's daughter will never be
held in the arms
of her Mother again and this
grieves her and all the
family of this wonderful
beautiful soul that God
gave all the privilege of know
for this short time on
earth. Please pray for the
family of Starlet Underwood.
