Out there in the Harbor
This Lady's torch
steadfast
Freedom's gift forever
With glory that will
last

Witness to the terror
That awful fateful day
September the Eleventh
Carved in life to stay

Tributes now are rising
Like bright waves in the
sky
Waters of the harbor
How swiftly now they
rise

Tears of many flowing
Blended all as one
Hearts of hurt revealing
The evil that was done

Yet the lady stands
there
With powerful repose
Freedom still her motto
Our hearts she does
expose

We welcome all in
friendship
Who yearn to just be
free
From all in life
oppressive
Our door their liberty

Today her flame grows
brighter
Her power seems to gleam
Our Lady of the Harbor
With dignity serene

Love within her shadow
She casts across our
land
Tears of hope and
freedom
Such power in her hand.
