Mother's love I always knew
Within her hands secure
Glory of my treasured gift
The heart that will endure

Through the years of growing
No matter what life gave
Always there to hold me up
My road of love was paved

All the storms in life were calmed
With loving touch she'd share
Compassion in this life I learned
My teacher was right there

Giving me the strength I'd need
In smile that I could see
Drying all the tears I shed
It meant so much to me

Say these gentle words for you
Each one that will ignite
Glow within my heart for you
Is etched with golden light

Today I smile and whisper soft
With child I hold so high
Mother's here now do not fear
Remembrance with love's sigh.
