Always watched my Grandpa
He taught me how to pray
We'd fold our hands in reverence
He taught me love this way

When morning sun was rising
When night had come to pass
Each moment was so precious
Love's treasures always last

Now that I am grown up
I look back on these times
When both of us together
Shared this love divine

Now I know the meaning
Of love and peace we shared
Prayers go up to heaven
I know my Grandpa's there

His smiles are now upon us
As he watches and he hears
The words of love he taught me
My children now revere

Goodnight to you sweet Grandpa
I know you're standing by
With love that you have taught me
Each child of mine replies.
