The darkness surrounds us

With fear as we go

We carry life's burdens

Through silence that grows

 

We seek what is written

In words that console

But we are the keepers

Of what life can hold

 

The fear that's upon us

It must fade away

For life in it's wisdom

Can show us the way

 

So walk in your dignity

Let fear not ignite

Hold to your spirit

Capture your light

 

Fear not the darkness

Take back the night

Walk with great courage

The dawn's light is bright

 

Hold on to your power

Stand and be tall

Reach for the glory

Of life's only call

 

Take back the night

Walk tall and proud

Be who you are

With courage now vowed.
