Mixing
up my potion
Watching as it brews
Mind in consternation
My spirit now improves
Want to see magnificence
Looking back at me
Reflection in my mirror
What everyone will see

Old and wrinkled I am now
What will I become
Will this liquid transform me
This ritualistically done
Sip this mixture made each year
On every Halloween
Walk among the multitudes
This night will feel serene
Pity that they don't see me
For what I know I am
A gentle kind and loving soul
With face not kind to man

This my time to feel great joy
Walk with so much ease
Mix right in with everyone
Costumes greatly please
Smile and say how grateful
This potion not so rare
Each Halloween I take a sip
Magic everywhere.
