Prayer For The Children

Pray for child who lost their life
On a bleak and lonely night
Needs a place to hideaway
From the torment of the day

Searching for a means to live
Indifferent toward the love we give
Help them see the special light
That radiates Your sky so bright

Please remove this sad despair
The one that makes them unaware
That there are ones who love them so
Want to give them place to go

Away from all the silent tears
That wash away their childhood years
Let them know the joy of peace
Just a touch of love to reach

When they finally rest their head
On concrete that is their bed
Let them dream of feathers light
Comfort them through every night

All these things we ask of You
A chance to help them make it through
We can only do our best
We beg of You to do the rest

Teach us wisdom with great care
Show us how to be aware
Of all the sadness in this life
With patience we can ease their strife

Oh help us Lord to tolerate
The evil we can't penetrate
Give us strength to see their pain
Let their life not be in vain

All these things we ask with love
To give them chance to rise above
The torment that they feel each day
This Sweet Jesus we do pray

Children of the world received
Love adorned on bended knee
Every prayer will rise above
Cascading down with Angel's love.
