Within my heart today
Piece of parchment paper
My thoughts are here to stay

Words they gather swiftly
They seem to flow with ease
Each one a gentle meaning
Hoping they will please

Perhaps a word I've written
Will give the peace you need
This my contribution
The poet's special creed

Rhymes to fill a journal
Prose that's like a prayer
Takes you to a softness
With healing touch so near

All these things I offer
In simple words that blend
Creating special offering
In every thought I've penned

Joy with greatest meaning
Expressed in gold bouquet
The poet's contribution
Will never fade away.
